SRTK IS COMMITTED TO GIVING BACK

Charitable at heart, a core philosophy of SRTK is to give back to the community. SRTK is committed to support annual events held by the following organizations, both financially and physcially.

ORGANIZATIONS SRTK CURRENTLY SUPPORTS

BC Children’s Hospital Foundation

BC Children’s Hospital is a leader in general and specialized pediatric services, and is British Columbia’s foremost teaching and research facility for child health. Since 1982, BC Children’s Hospital Foundation has worked with children, families, caregivers and hundreds of thousands of British Columbians to raise funds.

Tina Tam is past chair of the BC Children’s Hospital Miracle Weekend. The annual June telethon is a key event that SRTK has supported for many years. The entire office gets involved by participating in a softball tournament fundraiser. Tina remains a strong committee member and fundraiser.

Chi Heng Foundation

Founded in 1998, the Chi Heng Foundation (CHF) is a charity registered and based in Hong Kong whose programs are funded by private donors, businesses, and partner non-government organizations.

CIBC Run for the CURE

In 1992, a small group of volunteers began a movement in Toronto’s High Park. That day they brought 1,500 people together to raise awareness and $85,000 for the breast cancer cause. This marked the beginning of what was to become Canada’s largest single day, volunteer-led event in the support of creating a future without breast cancer—the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure. Today, the event has over 100,000 participants and raises over $20 million.

The team at SRTK looks forward to supporting this important event again. It’s an opportunity to run together as a firm and connect afterwards in a well-deserved lunch. In October of 2016 the team raised over $5K for the CIBC Run for the Cure.
